History

The Tucson Java Users Group was established to provide information about Java and Java related technologies to its members, to facilitate contacts between its members and to promote the use of Java technology in Tucson, Arizona. The group was founded in July 2001 by Warner Onstine and Darcy Spears.

Anyone interested in Java and Java related technologies and topics is welcome to join in our discussion lists and of course the in-person meetings.

The Tucson JUG does not currently have any dues or vendor affiliations. However, we do appreciate the generosity of both The Production Room and Arizona Mail Order for providing web hosting and a meeting location.

Members of the group are mostly located in Tucson, but there are also visiting members hailing from New York City to San Jose.

Meeting usually consist of a general introduction, announcements, and proceed into one or two mini-topics before delving into a longer main topic.
